At 33 I thought I would have grown out of my eczema by now, no such luck.

I am so fed up of having red painful eye lids, feels like I am constantly badly sun burnt, also have it to a lesser extent on top lip and sometimes cheeks. Hydrocortizone doesn't tend to help and is thinning my skin so I wondered if anyone has any words of wisdom?

I know not to expect a cure but if I could at least calm it down so it wasn't so painful or red then I would be so happy. At the mo I only use cetomagrocol (not sure of spelling!)cream to moisturise.

DH has this on his eye lids as well, he was recommended Body Shop Hemp Hand Cream.
I think it helped a bit, when he remembered to use it.

I have it all over my ears, and what does help the pain (although doesn't prevent its occurrence) is vaseline. Sorry for you though - it's horrible.

I get this too, and have not found how to eliminate yet. I put hydrocortisone, and then when that has cleared it a bit, I keep up with the daily moisturiser, however it always inevitably comes back. do you know what is causing it? it might be a food allergy ie dairy? or make up? or even stress and exhaustion.

with me, wearing mascara aggravates it and brings it back worse.

I have the same and swear by Triadcortyl (by squibb) cream had it from doctor. It has a steroid but used sensibly it's fine. I'm sure it's been discontinued tho and don't know why.

My baby has suffered from severe eczema on eyelids and was prescribed Elidel which completely prevents it. It also is not steroid based so does not have the same side effects. It is prescribed by our dermatologist.
