silverfrog · 14/03/2009 17:15

sorry, meant veganstore - here

Ooh great, thanks. Inlaws are not 'getting' it so good to know they're easy to find.

It's v much like Nana in The Royle Family:
'Emma's a vegetarian, Nana'
'Oh I am sorry. Can she have wafer thin ham?'

DO you know if these are the soya milk chocolate or dark chocolate please, as dd will not eat dark or plain chocolate
THanks

My DD has an anaphylactic allergy to cow's milk. When I've searched for milk free easter eggs in previous years, they've always been plain/dark chocolate which is just too bitter for young children. (can't say I like it much either TBH)
Last year I made Easter eggs for both my children and they loved it.
I bought an egg mould from a baking shop - melted the chocolate and then decorated them with icing sugar.
We had great fun making them and (even if I say so myself) they were fab!

It's tricky isn't it, I'd be quite happy for easter eggs not to exist but then I'm an old killjoy and not a huge choc fan. If the kids are young enough could start a tradition of an egg-shaped chocolate cake instead maybe?

That's a great idea. (I might steal it! ;o)
TBH I found that mine enjoyed the fact that they'd joined in making the eggs the most exciting part anyway. iyswim.
