I don't think you ought to be giving her the clementine juice(???)
Are you sure you are making up her nightime bottles according to the instructions? I think if you don't add enough water that can make babies constipated.
Also, are you sure she is actually constipated? I think it is quite normal for babies not to poo every day!

the pediatrician told me to give her the clementine juice and the hépar water, we live in france so i wonder if things are a bit different?! im sure im making her bottles up ok, i give her extra water throughtout the day aswell, about 150ml, and yes im sure shes constipated as she really struggles, you can see its causing her pain! im wondering if some organic prune juice watered down would shift things naturally?

Our DD1 always had this problem (and still does sometimes, she's now 4) I think perhaps some children are made like this and just have a bit more trouble than others.

I think dehydration certainly makes things worse, but I would have thought that extra breastmilk would be a better option than anything else for a 12 week old.

I'm not sure that prune juice would do any good - as I think it's the solid part of the prune (ie. not the juice) which helps the bowels (could be wrong though!)

You could try keeping her upright a bit more (in a bouncy chair or similar) as perhaps gravity might help push things downwards!

Hope things improve soon for her anyway.
