Growing out of nut allergies, how common is this?

DD is 6yo and seems to have grown out of her nut allergy. I was in the process of finding a good allergy specialist to have her tested as the school wanted proof of her allergy when she admitted that for the last year or so she had been eating walnuts in kindergarten. There is a tree in the garden and she and her friends were sneakying nuts when they were outside playing.

We tried her with nutella (she always reacted to this before) and she had no problems. Since then we have gradually tried new things and she has not had a reaction once.

Previously she would get a skin rash.

Has she just grown out if the allergy? Is there a chance of it recurring?

I have read that about 20% of children outgrow a peanut allergy and 9% outgrow a treenut allergy. There is a much higher chance of outgrowing them if you don't have any other allergies and have a low RAST score. They can reoccur. Some people think that its best to eat some of the allergen regularly and others think its best to avoid. Was she allergic to all treenuts before?

We did not have her tested as it was not an issue before she started school dinners. She definately reacted to haselnuts before (which is the main problem in nutella, she is estatic that she can eat nutella again). I am not sure about the other treenuts or peanuts.

She has no other allergies, that we have noticed. We cut out eggs, milk, fish and nuts for 4 weeks then gradually reintroduced them when she was about 2yo. She only reacted to the nuts.

My DS becames allergic to treenuts except cashews and peanuts when he was 4, and was allergic to seseme seeds before that. Also has hayfever and allergy to some animals.
When he was tested at 12 he appears to have grown out of the peanut allergy but not the treenuts or seeds
