Dairy Intolerance improving - what would be the best food to try on?

My DD dairy intolerance finally seems to be improving as she now seems able to tolerate food made a dairy environment and milk on her skin.

I wanted to actually try her with dairy but i'm being a wimp as i can't bear the thought of making her ill! What is the safest thing to try with - should i try a spoonful of yoghurt, a tiny piece of cheese or go full on with a sip of milk?

We stopped seeing the dietician as she was awful, so am not sure of the best way to test.

thanks

Lucky, this is the position I am in with DS and have been unable to get any definitive answer tbh. It does really sound like your dd is a lot worse than my ds though, so I completely understand your reluctance to make her ill.

The last time my ds got ill because of it, it was a build up after having a tiny smear of butter on toast three days in a row rather than giving him something full on.

Since then (which was almost a year ago) I have given him tiny amounts, but made sure that he has never had a build up IYSWIM.

I would be inclined to give her something that has milk away down the ingredients list of something rather than something straight, but that is based on nothing scientific!!
