Twins, toddler and Dairy intolerance??

Sorry I'm sure this question has been asked over and over, have looked at some previous threads, but with 4wk old twins my time is limited!

My first son seemed to be a little intolerant to dairy, when I cut dairy out of both our diets the small rash around eyes nose and mouth cleared up. We eventually settle on giving him goats milk, no rash has ever come back, however at 2.5yrs he still does incredibly loose poos. I went to the doctors they said - toddler diarreah, it will go away. But it never seems to get any better, am thinking that maybe I need to try cutting out dairy and or wheat - he eats a lot of wholemeal toast and lots of shreddies and often not a lot else. Or maybe I'm just giving him too much fibre?

And I just recently had twins, who poo at least once with every feed, one of them does very watery poo, they're both very very windy and they both projectile vomit a bit - not excessively, one gets little spots come up on her face. I cut dairy out for a few days, but couldn't conculusively decide anything. So finally I come to the question - to get a proper idea of whether all or any of my children are dairy or wheat intolerant how long would I need to cut out these things for and also does anyone know it the symptoms I describe for my twins sound like a possible food intolerance?

Thanks for your help - in anticipation.

Not sure if this helps but with my DS who is allergic to dairy, I was told I had to cut out all dairy and soya for 4 weeks to judge accurately whether there was any improvement (there was).

Thanks strawberrycornetto, so my four day experiment with cutting out dairy probably not enough then! I think I will try again in January, it will be too difficult for me to start a non dairy diet at Christmas. I have gone dairy free before for several months though so it shouldn't be too difficult to do it again.
