DS has been back on wheat/gluten for just over a week now and where he started eating everything and anything he could he has really cut back and its a real struggle getting him to eat enough as required for the coeliac test .

Yesterday it was a struggle and he didn't eat enough, today behaviour totally different and poo was relatively normal.

Think tomorrow going to stock up on jam donuts and other various cakes to try and tempt him!! Needs must lol

It will be worth it in the end, my daughter was diagnosed 2 years ago and she now refers to that time in her life as the 'very sore tummy', I hated making her eat lots, she lived on weetabix and was in constant pain.
She's been great on the gluten free diet (half my family are coeliacs so not a huge change!) although has terrible excema (dairy) and is still regaining weight.
Good luck

My DS5 is a coeliac and has had a huge growth spurt since he was diagnosed a year ago. (My DS1 also has it).
He still misses his favourite cereals though .

DS5's Paed did the blood tests which were 'raised levels' but still doesnt believe hes coeliac. Theres not a cat in hells chance that im putting him back on gluten just to satify that man. Incidentally most of my mothers family is coeliac including my mother! and hes still in denial!!!

rant over.

misscutandstick - that is dreadful with your family history and the raised levels!

Have you an understanding Gp who will prescribe anyway? can you see another dr or dietitian?

ask coeliac uk for their advise, they might have a standard document or letter you can let the Dr see
