Not sure whether I'm being a paranoid first time mum, but any advice, suggestions would be appreciated!

LO is 6mo and breastfed exclusively up until a few weeks ago. Feeding has always been a battle, and he has always been a bit of a grumpy baby to be honest. In the early days he was very sicky, and we tried gaviscon which helped a little.

Over the last few weeks, I've swapped a couple of breastfeeds for formula (aptamil), and also started weaning. He seems to love his food, but he has a sore looking red rash under his chin, which is also creeping onto his cheeks, and also has little pinprick type rash on his chest. Elsewhere he has a few lumpy patches of dry skin on his shoulders.

I'm not sure if it's simply a case of all the dribbling, food etc from teething and weaning is making his skin dry under his chin, or whether it's maybe an intolerance/reaction to something?

Would there be more obvious symptoms if he was allergic/intolerant to dairy, etc, etc?? We have no allergies, eczema, etc on either side of the family, although my DH does have quite dry skin.

On the other hand, I'm quite possibly being a paranoid first time mum!!

A pinprick rash sounds more like teething in my experience. Allergy rashes tend to be more bright red and/or hives. A reaction also tends to be fairly short lived then returning to normal. However having not seen it and not being and expert Im loathe to tell you not to worry and may be best to see a doctor...but it doesn't sound like an allergy in my humble opinion
The dry skin might be eczema-ish
