DD1 has always suffered from eczema and until 2 months ago have managed to keep it under control using chinese medicene and various moisturisers from the GP (eg Aveeno, Diprobase, Epaderm etc), however since May she started to get Hayfever and since then we have really struggled to keep her skin good. She has Cetirizine and steroid creams from the GP but as her skin gets used to them the steroid creams get stronger and feel we're on a slippery slope. A month ago she started getting the Urticaria rash as well in patches. The itching is driving her crazy. I am a fan of alternative therapies so if anyone has any hot tips it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading

hi guys how you all getting on? i found out some interesting news recently. ive been asking about udo,s probiotics for my allergic ds. ive been told that the probiotic bacteria is fed on milk products, so prob not a good idea to use if you have allergy or intolerance!! just thought id let you all know incase you know someone with allergies who is thinking of taking it.

Also, a neighbour has recomended "CELL FOOD". a dietary supplement which u add to drinking water. She says it has cleared her childrens eczema completely!!!!!! i'm looking into it, have emailed the company for advise, so ill keep you posted!

DS2 skin still plodding along, but do keep forgetting to apply the hemp, bloody stuff going to expire before i use it properly, lol.
will be more vigilant again and see what happens.

this actually sounds like histamine overload - do you give her an antihistimine?

plus don't hang her clothes outside in hayfever season, keep her eczema covered outside, and give her a daily rinse (NOT soak) to get the bits off her skin.

Definately interested to see if cell food works. What is it?

We've just come back from a weeks holiday (by the sea) and DD1's eczema is fab, and I only oiled her up once a day instead of the usual twice. Definately something in that sea air I think.

Will see how she goes now we're home.
