My ds1 is three, he has had a cough now for about three months but the past 3-4 weeks it has got worse. I took him to the docs 3 wks ago but they said his chest and everything sounded clear, but since then he has been up at 5am ish every morning just coughing and coughing for a good couple of hours, the past couple of nights he has been awake at 3am ish too. He is not himself and keeps saying his tummy hurts which I am not surprised about because of all the coughing. He coughs all through the day too, but not as prolonged as first thing.
I am going to take him back to the docs tomorrow but was wondering if any of this sounded familiar to anyone. Could it just be hayfever related? Both he and my ds2 have eczema, although ds1's is far less than ds2, in fact most of it cleared up the time he was 2.
The reason I am asking if it is asthma/hayfever is because the specialist we took ds2 to said that if they have eczema they have a greater chance of getting the other two as they are all part of the same group.
I hope this makes sense, any thoughts would be appreciated
