Aveeno Sun Cream

Was wondering if anyone has been able to source Aveeno sun cream in the UK? (preferably on the internet) I've heard great reports about it - I use the bath oil and cream on my ds and it has completely cleared up his excema.

I've only been able to find it on american websites - been searching for the last couple of days.

Also - can you get the sun cream on prescription?

Thanks!

Kerry x

No but... We use a suncream called Aloe Up and it helped my son's chronic ezcema. We have since been using pure aloe vera jelly and it has also helped.

Do you know what is the magic ingredient in Aveeno sun cream?

Nemoandthefishes · 11/06/2008 22:32

I bought some from usa ebay last year and was a bargain. It worked fantastically last year but this year caused a reaction so we are now using Lavera all natural cream which so far touch wood is working well.

I think the magic ingredient in all the Aveeno products is natural colloidal oatmeal (just read that off the bottle of moisturising cream I have, I assume its the same ingredients in the sun cream?)

I'm going to try ebay USA, if I can't get it there I'll try some of your suggestions -

Thanks guys! Kerry x

How funny Nemo, I used Aveeno on ds last year with no problems and this year he reacted badly to it. So this year we are using Sunsense and it's working well. The roll-on is easy to apply too.

bran it is strange as its not even like can say recipe changed as I had an unopened in date tube left
At the min we are using Lavera which seems to be ok

Me too (unopened in date). I was very surprised. It was quite a bad reaction on his face too, and he's never had problem on his face before. Perhaps I will need to change brand every year.
