Milk Ladder Support

Hi all,

On my 5th (maybe 6th?) Attempt at the milk ladder with my now 4 year old.

Despite so many tries, we've never passed day 1-3 before, let alone a whole step. We are now looking to move to step 3 so a whole new world for me and wondered if anyone else was in the same position and fancied a bit of a sounding board as we, hopefully, continue to progress?

I'm finding myself googling all sorts every day because it's new to me and trying to find alternatives since the poor girl cannot stand a pancake.

I think yorkshire pudding is the same as pancake. My oldest was on step one out the 12 step ladder for years and then when she got to 6 yrs old she flew through it.

Oh Yorkshires, amazing! She'll be thrilled. Really good to hear she flew through. Hoping beyond hope we manage this time.. then onto tackling soy.

Check out Dairy Free Mum on insta. Her son was milk and soy free for a while, her eldest was also dairy free she has some brilliant tips and recipes.

We've been through this with my eldest and at 5 still don't think he's ready for straight cows milk but I think time is the biggest factor. The exposure to the allergen is good but I'm not sure there is a way to speed up their acceptance at each step other than them just growing up. This is just my anecdotal take of course.

Thank you, I'll look her up!

I agree with the time front. We are going incredibly slowly this time and just plodding on with it. Before it was such a quick fail that this stage never seemed possible, she got bigger and her body seems to have decided that it doesn't mind this milk stuff at all!
