We have been told chicken pox, viral rash, heat rash and possibly allergy by the doctors. But the problem is we have introduced nothing new, she had arfid so wouldn’t even touch other food. I have checked for bugs it’s been happening for over a year and we have moved and got new furniture since so that would be out the window. The dogs are treated by vet treatment monthly and no one else has these marks. They go and re appear at least once a month, and some of the old spots have left marks where they were.

Most likely is fleas or could be bed bugs.

Treating the animal is fine but fleas can travel in clothing and other soft furnishings so unless everything is sprayed you could still have them.

Bed bugs can live in soft furnishings without feeding for up to a year. You need to use a professional.

Hiya, we don’t have either and never have. Dogs are clear and house was treated when we moved in 2 weeks ago as a precaution. The same problem has been happening for since she was 6 months every month she is now nearly 3. The spots appear become white heads then disappear. We have had multiple doctors visits with no answers until today. They think it’s foliculitis. After speaking to a professional about pests previously they said that if an infestation had been left that long it would be more than noticeable. Plus we have moved property’s and got new furniture 2 weeks ago. I use indorex monthly on all my furnishing as we live in a rural area so more prone to things like fleas.

Hi @Hol1999, it might possibly be molluscum - that presents as red, lumpy spots that then develop white heads. Is it an itchy rash?

No itching at all, they don’t bother her in the slightest. Last time she had it her whole body was covered from chin to knees.
