Cmpa milk

I’m breastfeeding and gone dairy free as my son is expanding few symptoms and the midwife suggested it to see if it helps but they also suggested that I use my milk to bathe him. Can I use the milk I expressed whilst eating dairy?
I know he’s not drinking it but will it affect him if it’s on his skin?

It depends on the type of allergies. There are immediate allergies that give the classical allergy symptoms with these allergies some babies and children will be touch sensitive so will react to milk proteins being on the skin and potentially the milk proteins in your breastmilk.
Delayed allergies give more gastric symptoms and these are much less likely to be touch sensitive.
My daughter has delayed allergies and these include coconut but she is completely fine with having coconut in shampoo and soap. My friends baby however had an oat allergy which was identified after they reacted to aveeno products.

You could try dabbing a little bit of the milk on their skin and seeing if there is any reaction.
