I’ve always had hayfever, and it’s got worse over the years. I live in SE England and the pollution definitely doesn’t help.

i have had really bad post nasal drip and blocked ears for the last two winters, and used a steroid nasal spray throughout. I’ve also now got a very poor sense of smell and my sense of taste is affected too.

I use a device to try and keep my tubes open, and have various antihistamines and nasal sprays / eye drops but am I missing anything else I can do? thanks

I totally sympathise. The only times my sense of smell has really come back and my ears have cleared was in Las Vegas and Greece. Perhaps it's time to look at holidays WinkFlowers

I agree! I was sad that my summer holiday in the med didn’t sort it out this year. I think I need some mountain air.

Have you been tested for dust mite allergy? My son has severe hayfever and also has dust mite allergy which has the same symptoms. If it is that too this might help: We had to take the following steps: Changed all bedding to dust mite proof, electric blanket that kills off dust mites, small hand held hoover with uv light to kill dust mites, opening windows throughout the house every day for an hour to ventilate house and prevent mould spores, dehumidifier as dust mites prefer moisture, warm environment. Dusting with damp cloth.

If it's tree pollen, Itulazak has made a huge difference- it's a lottery if your area will provide it through NHS, we had to pay as getting desperate and it's expensive! And you have to take it for 3 years, but inserts to be helping...

Meant to say, Itulazak is immunotherapy and agree with @oakhouse re air purifiers, have them in every room. One more thing, inhaler cups - the ones with the spout that goes over your nose - filled with hot water and a bit of Vicks has given short term relief from sneezing
