Local Honey

I've just tried to buy some local honey for my son's hayfever. (I'm aware it may be too late in the season to start this but thought it's worth a try)

I wondered if anyone knows how 'local' it actually has to be. The nearest I've found is produced about 15-20 miles away.

Thanks in advance.

How does honey help hayfever and why does it have to be local?

its something to do with ingesting the same pollen type things as you are going to be exposed to in the air ( forgive me very technical response ) so its acts like a kind of vaccination I s'pose...don't know how local though would have 15 miles was pretty local

For those of you interested, I've found out that the more local the honey is the better.
