More than CMPA?

Hi. I posted before about concerns that my breastfed baby had CMPA. We now have a diagnosis and a bad immediate reaction to my eating an ice cream. I have been dairy free for almost a month and have been so careful. Symptoms seemed to have eased but not gone away and I now think they are returning. Baby's skin on cheeks flares up immediately after a feed and takes a few hours to go back down. He is still congested and has explosive mucous nappies maybe once a week or so. We tried Nutramigen and he reacted to it and has refused bottle since. Any idea what to try next? I have kept a food diary and I can't see a pattern. I eat a varied diet and basically only have two coffees every day and I suppose soy in bread or crackers. I eat other common allergens but not daily. My GP is not very helpful. Thanks!

Also did anyone who has cut out dairy see a dramatic increase in feed frequency afterwards? My 5 month old is feeding every 2-3 hours and nighttime sleep is gone too. This could be a coincidence linked to teething but it times with going dairy free.

I would cut out soya too.

Anything can be allergen my daughter is allergic to more vegetables than top14 allergens.

You need to include everything in a food diary. I had to make my diet less varied from day to day to spot the trends so eating the same ingredients for a couple of days to help reduce the noise in the food diaries. I still got to keep the variety but it was from one week to the next. My daughter has delayed allergies so it can take 3 days for her symptoms to appear.

You probably want an amino acid formula - neocate and alfamino are the most commonly used ones. My daughter had a bottle aversion after reacting to a formula with coconut in (she has a coconut allergy too). She had reoccurring bottle aversions. On one occasion offering an Oz of milk after each breastfeed helped. It took a few days but she went from not accepting the bottle near her mouth to take a small amount when I wasn't about.

We used the formula in her food that helped her get used to the taste of the formula. I breastfed until i was broken and in hospital myself. We had stop cold turkey
