I have suspected for a while my baby may have a slight milk intolerance. His cheeks flare up, can be very red and sometimes coarse. But not all day every day. He is happy in himself, lots of wet nappies - but is it too many? He can do a number 2 most bottles. He isn't in pain and is gaining weight (I bf for around a month and he's been formula since).
Last week he came out in a rash, very subtle but noticeable on his belly. His cheeks were also a bit dry. I have been moisturising in the morning with a baby cream or Vaseline and baby oil at nights. It's cleared up mostly but I still worry if it's eczema?
Now that he's approaching 6 month I've started weaning in the last couple of days. He's had baby rice, banana, carrot, egg custard all okay. Today I gave him a tiny bit of scrambled egg. He has a rash on his face, it cleared mostly this afternoon but when I give him a bottle it seemed to return.
So as not to drip feed his half brother has lots of allergies so this may be making me overly cautious (eggs, milk, cats, dogs, dust, oats. He also has asthma and eczema and I'm aware it's all linked)
I'll attach some pictures and I'd welcome opinions - allergy, eczema or worrying for nothing.
I am going to ring the GP in the morning and try and get him in.
