Please help-what's the pollen count been doing?

Hive mind! My little boy has had his first eczema flare today in a long while and, given his skin became very difficult to control at the same time last year, I wondered whether it might be to do with pollen. I checked the pollen count today and it said medium but I just wondered what has it been up until now as I haven't been checking? I noticed it's low for the next few days and it would be really really helpful to know if it's been medium before today?

For context he's under the allergy clinic and we're doing the milk ladder so it's really important we try and pin point triggers if at all possible although I know it's very difficult! He had skin prick testing for allergy to pollen last year which was negative but he was only 13 months and I'm not sure it always shows up when they're so young. Allergy clinic felt it might be to do with the air being more moist. Also, we're in the north and don't live in an overly leafy area if that makes any difference!!!!!

Any info much appreciated. Thanks so much x

It depends on what pollens your ds is allergic to, as different tree, weed and grass pollens are more prevalent at different times of the year.
My dcs hay fever has really kicked off the last couple of weeks as they are allergic to tree pollens, particularly birch.
Their hay fever developed more as they got older and they didn’t test positive for pollens on skin prick test until they were 3.

it might be useful for you to look up a pollen calendar which will tell you what type of pollens are high at certain times of the year. Just use Google, here’s an example:

Hay fever symptoms can change with the seasons. We outline how allergies can appear in winter, spring, summer and autumn. Plus, we cover all the pollen types.
