Positive blood test but no symptoms?

Hi all

First time posting in this section.

Feeling very confused with the allergy blood test results we received for my 12m son today. We believed he had an intolerance to dairy, based on constipation when consuming it. We also knew he had a pea allergy (though tolerated peas fine until 2 months ago) and for the last 2 weeks has come out in a rash when eating weetabix (though again had it 3-4 times a week until last month). Doctor carried out allergy blood tests and he has tested positive for pea, peanut, soy and mildly for wheat.

Feeling very confused as he has Alpro soya growing up milk on his cereal every day and hasn’t shown an obvious reaction, also has dairy free dairylea and Philadelphia which both contain soy. He’s also had peanut butter several times and never reacted.

I am now terrified to give him peanut in particular, but wonder if it’s possible for allergies to be so mild there’s no visible reaction?

I will of course ask the doctor this when we see her, but the follow up appointment is a few weeks away and I’m a bit lost in the mean time. She said that where we don’t observe a visible reaction it’s fine to keep giving, despite the positive test, but feeling very nervous to do so! My husband and I have no food allergies at all so this is all very new to us.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure how allergy blood tests work, I've only had skin patch tests, but I'm non-Ige to soya so I don't show any obvious reaction straight away. Could it be that he's non-ige too?
