Itchy legs

I'm interested to know if anyone else sometimes experiences an occasional very itchy sort of rask on their legs (shins mainly)? It comes and goes. Doctor prescribes cream, I think antihistamines, but doesn't explain why I get it.

I've recently noticed some talk online about fizzy drinks and increased histamine production. Oddly if this is related my hunch is it is one brand, but surely it would be all or nothing? Also it wasn't a trusted site (I.e. not NHS). Doesn't mean it's wrong of course.

I take it your GP has done other tests, as itchy legs can be a sign of diabetes, I have itchy legs and feet and my GP has put me through a lot of tests mainly due to my itchy feet

No, no tests at all. Though I do know I'm not diabetic, I think I'm 41 on the scale.

After a recent extreme allergic contact reaction, I've noticed one of the tings I'm reacting too is washing powder. Have you changed brand or has the brand changed ingredients recently?

(Improving rapidly now I've switched to non bio)

Yep. I'm allergic to huge numbers of washing powder / liquids and cleaning product's so I itch like fury at hotels and when visiting other people's homes. Anything touching my skin can set me off. Whatever they use to clean the desks in the office brings me out in hives so I have to wear long sleeves or put a scarf across the table in front of me to lean on.

I take a nightly antihistamine, and I moisturised religiously as it seems to act as a barrier to things upsetting my skin.

I get this. I use Eurax cream or Eucerin spray, both intensely moisturising and calm it down nicely. Always happens at night but I use non bio washing liquid with no perfume so not sure what else causes it.
