7 month old allergic to eggs?

Hello,
My little one was very sick last week, projectile vomited everywhere along with gagging for a few hours.
thought he picked up a tummy bug but he was very sick again last night.
last week I gave him egg for the first time as an omelette and yesterday made little pancakes for him. He didn’t actually swallow any egg just kinda sucked on it.
Could this make him sick even if he didn’t swallow any of the egg? I was going to try him with some egg tomorrow and see if it happens again. As it’s the only new thing I’ve introduced recently so I’m thinking it could be an allergy!

Mine would completely throw up from eggs when she was about this age. I didn't give her any for months and when I did again at about 14 months she is ok. She's been ok with eggs for about two months now.

My son is allergic to lightly cooked egg so scrambled , omelettes etc but he is fine with baked egg .

Have you tried him with boiled egg ?

My LO is exactly the same.
Projectile vomit from scrambled eggs, I have an egg allergy and his doesn't seem anything like mine.
I.e no sneezing, no rash, no swelling etc just literally being sick. So I reckon more of an intolerance.

We haven't tried him since but we are planning on doing soon.

But we have tried things like cheese and onion spread that's got egg in and he was fine after that.

I first saw my son's egg allergy when he put his fingers in my carbonate then touched his face. His lips were swollen and his face broke out in hives almost immediately.

You could try a tiny amount of boiled egg mashed up. Even sucking on food containing egg would get a reaction.

Was it an immediate reaction or 2 to 4 hours after eat? If it was delayed, look up an allergy called fpies. It is a gut allergy..

My toddler has an egg allergy, which we discovered after a bad allergic reaction when he first had eggs.

We have been working through the egg ladder under the care of a consultant. Is that something you could explore - try some foods from the first level, see how you get on, and so on.
