well if there is no ingredients of nuts or products,no warning about cross contamination I give ds pizza and he has nut allergy.

I'd check it out more - some commercially used flours contain nut derivatives. I have a nut allergy and cannot eat any commercially baked products.

I'd call the company, or look on their website, there may be no nuts in or on the pizza but they could use them in the same factory.

The website will likely say its a common thing for people to ask.

If there were nuts or nuts in factory it would have a warning on the box.

I phoned Sainsburys and asked and as Joash said, the flour contains nut derivatives. He had Veg soup instead.

Thanks.

good for you - I couldn't get a straight answer when I asked about a pizza that DID have a nut warning on it. However I wonder if they got confused? My child (who is very sensitive to nut) has eaten some of their pizza (with no nut warning on the box) with no problem.

I recommend the WI recipe below. If you like a thin base roll out to more than 7 inches and serve 2 small children -

Quick pan pizza

110g (4oz) Self raising flour
1/2 level teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sunflower oil
3 to 4 tablespoons water
a little vegetable fat for frying a small chopped onion

Topping
Choose from tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, peppers, sweetcorn and chopped mixed herbs etc - or add bacon or ham for a non-vegetarian option. The choice is yours!

Method
Mix together the flour, salt and 1 tablespoon of oil. Add enough water to make a fairly stiff but pliable dough.
Knead until smooth, then roll out to an (18cm) 7 inch round
Fry on one side in the remaining oil until golden brown
Turn the dough over and cover with the chosen toppings using the onion fried in a little vegetable fat as a base. Cover with your choice of topping and finish with cheese as desired. The underside should be golden by this time. Place under a hot grill until the cheese is golden and bubbling. Alternatively, roast vegetables on a ridged griddle pan and top with Feta cheese and freshly chopped mixed herbs and eat immediately.
Serve with a mixed green salad
