Ds has dairy intolerance, but managed on soya. As hes got older its harder to keep dairy Free. As he wants what the older ones have, or for example the other day the ice cream parlour didnt sell dairy anything!
When i last went to dietician with him she said that the skin issues on arms and legs wouldn't be related as too far from his mouth /food i take area
Gp says otherwise.?

His issues started as a baby by 6 weeks his torso and legs were red raw. And his poo nappys were water leaked everywhere ! Would drink 10 bottles a day but was just not staying in him. Never satisfied uncomfortable etc.
It was lockdown and no one would see him. My sibling had identical as a baby but tolerated soya. By 6m and no one listening. I rang gp and basically demanded they help. They prescribed wysoy and within 1 week his skin was almost clear and bowels better. Started gaining weight after a few weeks.

So now even though having dairy in baked goods etc and odd ice cream his bowels are ok.
We're still struggling with his skin. Its always behind knees under bum cheeks. Ankles and now under knee cap.
He does get in arm creases too but not as bad.

Weve tried 4 steriods. He has emoilients in bath and emulsiderm ( sp) to wash with. Previous was aveeno wash but no luck. But does use aveeno cream.

Just wondering if anyone elses dc have intolerance food issues with skin issues like this.
Rubbish pic as he wouldn't keep stil. Some areas are very scaly and thick

Sounds like the allergy is affecting his skin to me, really not sure why the Dietician thinks otherwise.

Have you been referred to the Allergy Clinic?

Hi

Both my children have milk intolerance as well as others

Doctors we’re no help we have never seen a dietician so this isn’t a professionals advice

We did the hair intolerance test you can buy over the internet send a sample of hair and they tell you what they can’t eat

Your supposed to cut it out for so long then introduce back slowly if reaction occurs stop and repeat etc

I think egg has an effect on skin for mine

Zeroderm (spelling) i think is the best cream we’ve had so far when it was at its worst didn’t bath him for a week as it dries the skin out to much and just kept slapping this on and it did clear up but it was never as bad as your picture to start with
