lanolin/petrochemical free creams????

Hi
I am hoping someone can give me some ideas of creams to try on dd (3 1/2) that don't contain lanolin or petrochemicals. I was particularly wondering about lush dream cream and any in akamuti range? After 3 yrs of inadvertently making eczema worse I am loathe to rely on gp/pharmacists ! (Although they are normally brill!)

Thanks in advance :-)

www.greenpeople.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?ProductID=b27baee9-7099-4cd4-abd1-ba2bc677ad69&CategoryID= 27336778-1aba-4dfd-bada-8086c5876caeSeems to be free of all nasties, although I haven't used it personally on my ds

www.halogb.co.uk/-I have used this stuff as my sons sensitive skin always gets triggered by harsh bath products..never had a problem while using it.

As for Lush-they do heavily perfume their products, only tried honey I washed the kids soap on ds-no problems with that-it does smell sooooo divine

Lush Dream Cream is lovely and supposed to be good for treating Eczema. Aveena (o?) is made from oats I beleive - I'm not sure what else is in it though.

I'm currently using Relief cream on myself and ds1, seems to be working! I found it in my health food shop, hth!

Iota · 17/01/2008 11:55

yes aveeno is good

jellies · 17/01/2008 11:59

Aveeno gets my vote and olive oil as often as he'll hold still... I've done a toddler massage class and he'll let me slick him all over for that... natural oils sinck into the skin unlike baby oil!

CORNGIRL · 18/01/2008 10:48

Thanks for that, we have tried aveeno but as is the case with eczema it didn't do anything for her! Might get some dream cream for me and try a bit/skin patch it

All of the Elave products (Irish company but sell online to England) are free from ANY fragrance and parabens. Not sure about petrochemicals though? All their ingredients are on their site and I've never reacted to any of them (and I react to everything after a while). Their "intensive" cream is not as moisturising as it sounds but actually it means you can easily put it on several times a day.

I have used the green people stuff on my dd in both the bath and for moisturiser. It's good. They do travel sizes of some things you can try.

Have tried deam wash and dream cream.

Lush also do little sample pots so you can try -saves you buying the whole pot as they're not cheap - samples are enough for a good few goes.

TooTicky · 17/03/2008 22:42

Tui creams are good.

I use this for my DD. It's fantastic and ridiculously cheap.
