is there a bubblebath suitable for eczema ?

nope, dont do bubbles at ALL!

but surprising balneum bath additive frothes up slightly when put in under running water. about a handful of bubbles, enough to get my bubble depeived kids excited lol.

DS1 is prone to SLIGHT eczema. I found by moisturising religiously (Weleda) and eliminating all mineral oil based products and anything containing sodium laurel/laureth sulfate it is basically under control and has been for about two years now (he is four). For bubbles we use JASON products - available from healthfood-type shops - the mango is really nice. I squirt it in running water and whisk it vigorously with my egg whisk .

I use EarthFriendly Baby. It's not cheap, but it does the trick!

my dd;s reacted to oilatum and a different one. but balneum and aveeno is working fine for them for now.

it's about £6 a bottle , so they don't get it all the time, but DD1 is allergic to SLS's.

i have found that halos and horns ( Tesco and others ) doesn't aggravate my dc, we started with the shampoo as i was struggling with what the #@;% to wash their hair in that didnt just make it fluffy and knew this didnt have any wierd additives. then tried their bubbly stuff, we only use it as a weekly / twice weekly treat but it is ok for them.

It's not for cleaning I want it....just fun.

I should add that it isn't actually very bubbly, but my lot were used to aqueous cream in the bath so anything with a few bubbles and a nice smell was going to score well

Another thing... to get round the whole issue, I make simple bubble mix with washing up liquid, and blow bubbles in the bathroom whilst they are in the bath ok I'm nuts. I know. but there's much hilarity all round and they don't care that the bubbles aren't particularly in the bath IYSWIM!

The EarthFriendly one isn't too bubbly, either, but it's got enough of a bubble for the girls to consider it a bubble bath.

We use E45 Junior foaming bath milk. It doesn't set off DS2's eczema. He reacts to Oilatum but not to Balneum so it's all a bit trial and error!!
