Did your egg allergic child like egg when you moved up the egg ladder?

So we have skipped a few steps. DD has tolerated meringue and mayo.

The allergy nurse wants us to try her on well cooked egg. DD really not wanting to try egg on its own.

I can imagine it's a bit of an acquired taste so wondering what to feed her that won't put her off for liffe?

Boiled egg mixed up in a cup with butter? One of my favourite foodie memories as a child.

Oh my god!I love egg in a cup so much. Had totally forgotten about that. Great shout thank you!

Mine hated egg for years but he will eat a fried egg now (he's 9).
We did sponge cake, fresh pasta, French toast.

Assuming you’ve done cake and pancakes? Cheesy omelette?

My dd loves egg mayo sandwiches. She grew out of her egg allergy at around 4yo. Good luck!

French toast here works. (But of vanilla and cinnamon mixed into the egg)

Quiche?

She's actually tolerating meringue and mayo which is further up the egg ladder than the allergy clinic want us to start. I think it's more curiosity about her eating egg that's not disguised in something.

Some good suggestions here though thanks.

Hi, sorry to jump on this almost 3 years on but do you have an update? My son is allergic and we started the egg ladder and I know he can tolerate baked goods he had a little bit when he was younger and I wasn't using my brain (didn’t think about egg being in a cake when we were in a cafe) , anyway he loved it but now he’s 13 months and we started the egg ladder and he won’t eat a THING. He pushes away pancakes, cake or anything baked with it in. Can he sense the egg? I’m panicking if he doesn’t start he’ll have this allergy for life. I’ve been debating trying him on a tiny bit of boiled egg to see how he goes but honestly I’m terrified he’ll react. Has your little one out grown it and do you have tips? Thanks so much in advance

My DS was diagnosed with egg allergy when weaning (together with other allergies) and we started the ladder at age 3. He's 6 now and not allergic to it anymore, but he still doesn't eat egg!
For the hard boiled part of the ladder I used to boil an egg and hide some bits in his food every day (increased amount): mostly in his pasta or sandwich.
I then moved to do the same with omelettes instead of hard boiled eggs (but sometimes he would eat a bit of omelettes with ham and cheese).

We haven't got much further. She is happily eating mayo, meringue and egg fried rice so don't see the need to push with scrambled or hard boiled egg.
