Advice is simple but plenty of work (no way around it)

Remove carpets or vacuum clean regularly.

Regular dusting with a wet cloth

Use of anti mite bed protectors and washing the bed sheets often at high temperature (and airing them under the Sun-if there is any sunrays available!!!).

Ventilate rooms every day, and ensure the house is not too humid/too dry.

Washing and freezin soft toys every second week.

How often you do these things depends on the sensitivity of the affected person. With DS we had to vacuum clean every second day, wash the bedlinen twice a week, dusting every day, etc etc. But now that he is older he doesn't need for these things to be done as often.

Thanks
Have taken a brief respite from the washing now!
Hoping dc will grow out of it.

Can't add much to what's above but things that helped me were:

i) getting a good vacuum cleaner and using it (the newest ones have special anti-allergy filters but any fairly modern one will do)

ii) using laminate instead of carpet in the bedroom and living room.

Anti-allergy mattress and pillow covers were also useful.

yes I bought the miele one that was recommended at the time (about 8 years ago) it's still going strong, and I get dh to do most of the hovering etc because I@m the allergic one

A good vacuum cleaner is ESSENTIAL, I got the Cat and Dog Miele and it has made a huge difference.

I'd go for a Dyson with Absolute/HEPA filters.

Also, remember to vacuum the mattress when you change the sheets: you would be horrified to see what comes out of it...

Change pillows every 6 months. Leave pillows overnight in freezer every so often if it is big enough or outside in a plastic bag at the moment seeing as it is so cold.
