Hi, for past 8 weeks I've had what has felt like reflux/heart burn and at times a bloated upper tummy. I've had a urine test (fine) I've had bloods for diabetes, thyroid, my liver, kidneys, ovarian cancer and celiac, All Fine. I've lost a stone in weight as I've halfed my portion sizes to see if it helped and at times it really has, at no point have I cut out gluten but I have not ate as much sweet stuff or spicy foods. My doctor has prescribed me omeprazole which I've on week 3 of 4 now and not sure if it's helping or now? I am a very anxious person which unaware can effect your tummy. Yesterday I ate a bit more than usual as we had family round and I drank more tea than usual ( decaff) and ate a few sweet treats, ive woke at 3am with awful back ache and growling tummy and upset tummy and I kind of feel like I'm in a bad mood 😔😔 is it worth me trying gluten free to see if it helps at all? I feel like I'm walking in the dark with this the last few weeks 😪

If you've easy been tested for coeliac disease, could it possibly be the dairy rather than the gluten? About one in ten of the population have CMPA.

As someone with all your symptoms and having had all tests known to man, I have been diagnosed with ulcers and a hiatal hernia, (gall bladder was scanned and fine) no celiac wheat and dairy intolerante, I would cut dairy or at the least go lactose free, tbh I saw more of an improvement with that then cutting out wheat, I also had to cut sugar.
Did the Dr do a Sibo test?

I see your point regarding it not always been wheat that could be the problem. No foods in particular set it all off more seems to be the amount of food I eat and my anxiety. I have a ultrasound scan next week ok my tummy so that will be interesting, about 6 years ago when I was pregnant I got diagnosed with gallstones so unless there playing me up I just don't know, once Christmas is out the way I'll start to look at my food and look at making some lifestyle changes.

You could try the Fodmap in January, it's a difficult diet to start with but it basically cuts most possible irritants and then you add one food back at a time and see if that's the problem.
If you have gallstones that haven't been removed it's possible that high fat foods are irritating them too, things like butter, cream etc.
Hope you get through Christmas ok and your ultrasound is clear.

Don't cut out gluten until you have been properly tested its incredibly hard to go back to eating wheat once you have stopped I went from vauge grumbling symptoms to a full blown attack when I tried restarting
