Just seen there's a few batches affected. All 8 tins of ours Inc the one we're using.
We get in on prescription hence 8 a time and had just had a new script.
So ill return to chemist (obvs not get a refund)

My worry now is. I could get another prescription tomorrow but scared no where will stock it. I've just been to a few express shops to try to buy some with no luck too.

It's recalled for bits of plastic.
I've gone through our open tin really carefully. And can't see anything
Obvs ds needs his milk in the morning and lunchtime (won't get through to a gp before then)
He's 14m BUT under paediatrian because he doesn't Eat hardly anything at all. And what he does is miniscule.. No idea why as others all eat like horses. The paediatrian has said to stay on the formula as long as possible up to 2.5yrs if needed due to his lack of food intake. We fight daily with food. He's getting much better

I'm wondering whether to use normal soya milk fresh? Because if this recall.
I can't get hold of anyone tonight. I'll be able to get hold of gp tomorrow but unlikely the paediatrian they take a few weeks to get back to me.

There is a soy milk specially for children has a giraffe on the box?

If its prescription won't the chemist replace it?

BluntlySpoken · 28/03/2021 21:39

It doesn't have his prescription labels on it as they always label the outer case. I unpack for ease of storage.
I could ring and ask though I guess.

Oh that's good about the kids one. Can you tell me what the difference is.

Have you tried to see if he would have more food if he had less milk? Some babies will prefer the milk and not be hungry bc they loaded up on milk. I would return the tins. Perhaps keep one just in case of emergency if you are worried about them being short on supply.

Sorry forgot about this
No he doesn't eat more if no milk. He's truly awful. All the others weaned fine ate perfectly.
He was sent to try us! Haha
He wouldn't eat any solid d food until over 10m!
Would just heave even with yoghurt textures. Wouldn't eat finger foods.
Weve had speech therapy look to see if it's to do with tongue movement. Paediatricians watch him attempt to eat. He's just so bad. But he is getting better. Will eat more snacks than much else at the but is something. We have so much food waste sadly.

Gp said use the kids alpro. But they'd prefer a formala as better for him. But she unsure what to go for so calling tomorrow. As he normally gets prescription for it. So she's going to try and speak to hospital and pharmacist to see the best
Personally the cartons is easier and he's been drinking it. With no effects so far!
The chemist also can't get his vitamins so again waiting to get advise on another to get.
