My 9 yo DD has Eczema and has reacted to the new Lenor Mrs Hinch Fabric Softener.DD is fine with Lenor Spring fresh and unstoppables. We use Dermol 500 in the shower and as a creme. Also no Skincare reactions as the eczema is on her chest.

DH and DD both get eczema.
We always use the lenor for sensitive skin, only use a little (about half the recommended dose) and don’t use it with every wash.

I stopped using fabric conditioner a few years ago because of my sons eczema. Don’t really notice any difference to my washing.

We dont use it. Sets DHs skin right off. Never tried it with tte kids.

My DD has severe eczema and has done since age 0. Advised by dermatologist to never use fabric softener, and to stick to non bio. We use tesco non bio as it's never set her off. She's 21 now! If her sister visits wearing clothes washed in any old detergent it sets off both eczema and asthma in DD.

Non bio plus tumble dryer to soften everything up. Job done.

I can only use Comfort Pure or Fairy and Daz washing powder. Everything else makes my eczema flare up.

Surcare is the only fabric softener I can tolerate. I also use either Surcare or Essential Waitrose Sensitive laundry detergents. DP Liquid Soap Flakes are good for washing delicates.

(I find Waitrose's Pure range of toiletries among the best tolerated and most gentle on my skin.)

Seriously, every single one I have tried has been a problem. My mum is used to me bringing almost full bottles to her. If anything, the sensitive skin ones are worse for me. I don't know why I keep trying, to be honest. It's not like they really make any difference.

4 people with eczema in our house, and noone can tolerate any fabric conditioner. If you live in a hard water area, 100ml of white vinegar in the softener drawer section works well at softening clothes and rinses out without leaving a scent.
