What do you take for hay fever?

I've been taking Fexofenadine 180mg for about 6 or 7 years. I take them all year round as I still get itchy throat and eyes through the winter.

But recently it's not touching me, I also take beconase spray twice a day. I'm going to make a drs phone appointment tomorrow to ask for something new as I've read you should change it every now and then. I've even been taking 2 a day I know I shouldn't but it's awful! I'm struggling to get my work done. I'm just wondering what prescribed tablet you take and if it works?

A bit late to this, but my daughter finds Optrex hayfever eyedrops really help. Obviously they won't help your throat.

If you have it all year round you could have perennial rhinitis, Fexofenadine doesn’t work for me anymore, I used to have spray from the GP which worked really well for me but is was discontinued and the alternative does nothing. As over the counter medicine doesn’t work either I just put up with it now, luckily I don’t have a problem with my eyes, my throat feels like it is closing and my voice goes.

The immune system is in the gut so good gut health is vital. I've had hayfever all my life and it's totally blighted the summer months. Since starting a ketogenic way of eating last spring the hayfever is very manageable and I've only needed to have antihistamines if I've eaten something inflammatory. I don't know exactly which foods affect my gut health and make me susceptible to hayfever but cutting out carbs and sugars has helped enormously.
