Just been diagnosed with underactive thyroid (Hashimoto disease) and advised to give up gluten as part of treatment. Not sure how to do this so wondered if anyone had any pointers out there.

Have a look at Coeliac UK Figleaf. Loads of information on there to start you off. Many blogs out there too. Good luck.

Also, Sainsbury's produce lists of their goods without an allergen here.

BBC Food have a few gluten free recipes too.

Good Luck OP. I had to give up dairy a few years ago and whilst it seemed daunting at first I've felt so much better for it I'd never dream of going back Smile

Supermarket websites...even if no slots at present...will allow you to sort items that are gluten free. That will help if you need to make a list for elsewhere. Most supermarkets have free from shelves. Some GF stuff is better: most pasta is pretty good, while bread is variable. I prefer crackers to bread. In mainstream aisles beware of thickeners which can include gluten in items like sausages. You will spend an age reading packets at first, but it does get easier. If you let us know what you normally like to eat, we can probably suggest some GF alternatives.
