Nandos, pizza express, fish and chips (GF), some pubs for roast dinner, Thai

Japanese food, rice-based not noodles.

Second pizza express. Their allergen menu/facebook is really detailed and they’ve trained staff properly on how to handle requests graciously.

Wagamama has a good online allergy guide.

Nando's may be good too, they are easy for dairy allergy.

Some pizza places do a gluten-free base and you can opt for no cheese or vegan cheese.

Gluten was mentioned, so you need to be very careful of the soy sauce (making sure it's a GF version) and avoiding seitan. Japanese is not an obvious choice for someone needing to avoid gluten unless they're very clued up on things.

Pizza Express is definitely the safe option to start with.

GF and DF is not uncommon, as many coeliacs develop an associated intolerance to dairy as a result of the damage to the villi.

Las iguanas has a good separate allergy menu if you know what I mean

Try to avoid Beefeater as they don't pay much attention to allergies - although I have a pretty rare allergy so maybe it was that.

Zizzi

My daughter has a dairy allergy and we just always check the menu beforehand and query anything before ordering. We've found most main-stream places cater well to allergies and have only had one or two issues where they've brought pasta out with cheese on top, for example. Most places these days have an allergen menu so always worth asking for that, too :)

TGI Fridays are really good with allergies (your order is taken by the manager so they know its done properly)
