Recipe for multiple allergies

cece · 24/03/2019 06:48

I am a teacher and I'm supposed to be doing an Easter cooking activity just before the holidays. However, there are several children with allergies.

Any ideas for a recipe ( like chocolate Krispie nests) that are dairy, egg, but and gluten free?

Thanks

You can still make chocolate krispie nests, but just buy all your ingredients from the Free From section. It will be much more expensive, though.

Any GF cereal - equivalent to rice crispies or cornflakes - made into nests with vegan chocolate would pass that test I think?

You can use gluten free corn flakes/rice krispies.be mindful of the chocolate as some contain soy which is high allergy.
Vitalite spread is suitable for all the above and is most reasonably priced, will hunt out a recipe shortly when I get up!!most teachers won't even attempt bake with my DC.youngest helped make chocolate coconut cake then ate a gf/df shop bought muffin!!

50g vitalite
2tbsp golden syrup
50g cocoa powder*
50g cornflakes/rice Krispies

Melt vitalite and syrup over a low heat.stir in cocoa off heat.add cereal and mix til coated

  • DO NOT substitute drinking chocolate as contains milk powder We use asda own brand cocoa powder or green and blacks.always check the label to ensure no added milk powder!!

Ps we fill ours with jelly beans, but you will need to ensure they are gluten free and if any vegetarians/vegans there is no gelatin

Thank you!
I forgot the soya allergy....

I've then got to write a risk assessment and refresh myself on EpiPen use.
