Kit & kin nappy allergy

Has anyone else experienced their baby suffering an allergic reaction around the waist & tops of legs when using Kit & Kin nappies? We have tried them a couple of times now and every time my little girl has developed a rash within hours on the areas where the nappy elastic touches her body. The rash went as soon as we stopped using the nappies (within a few hours). After a few tries at using them we are of course now certain that, unfortunately, it's the nappies. Such a shame as we love the Kit & Kin brand, what it stands for ... and Holly Willoughby! We just want to know exactly what it is that's been impregnated into the nappy that our daughter is having a reaction to. We thought we'd start here and see if anyone else has experienced the same thing.
Many thanks in advance :)

latex allergy?

how is skin in general? okay with other areas on skin with clothes that have elastic/latex?

I’m sure if you contact them they’d be happy to help you.

Skin has been fine up until this incident. I hadn't thought of latex. Thanks so much .. I will also take the advice from the person below and see if I can't contact them and ask. If I find out what it is then I'll post on here ..
Thank you :-)

good idea ... i think I'll do that. If we find any answers I'll post on here in case anyone is interested. We are just amazed that she's had a reaction to this brand ... hope it's a one-off thing!
Many thanks :-)

I was thinking about this and thought it unlikely that they would use latex. I’ve copied this from the Kit & Kin website:
Our products are made without: chlorine processing, latex, lotions, fragrances, most common allergens, phthalates, optical brighteners, or organotins (MBT, DBT, TBT)
Ingredients
Outer lining: Sustainable material and polyethylene waterproof film.
Internal lining: Polypropylene / PLA (natural polymer).
Internal: Totally chlorine free fluff pulp.
Barriers: Polypropylene.
Elastic ribbon: Polyurethane.

This is sooo kind of you ... thank you! It was one of those jobs that I kept meaning to do (we have since given the rest of the nappies away). Well it would appear our little one's skin isn't mad keen on Polypropylene and / or Polyurethane ... ! Both are man-made and obviously chemical (however everything is chemical ... even a carrot!) but I hope you know what I mean! I am just grateful for the fact we don't need to use cotton terry nappies at least! Many many thanks once again ... super useful! :-)

Hi there @loolocks007

I’m hoping you may see this post. I was wondering if you could give an update on whether you ever got to the bottom of what ingredient was causing the issue for your daughter?

We aren’t using Kit & Kin but my daughter has the same rash from Sainsburys nappies. We’re currently trying Rascal & Friends.

Just wondering what nappies you settled on in the end?

Thanks
