Is there any reason why a six month old couldn't have Alpro growing up drink? Not as a drink, but used in cooking in lieu of cows milk?

Whilst I was trying to gradually introduce milk to my DS, I used almond milk in his porridge. Then went half and half. Now he has cow's milk.
I don't see why not. Alpro has got a good amount of protein in it too.

Do you think there is a difference between the standard Alpro and the growing up drink?? I don't want to give him something that he shouldn't have...

Oh... hmmm... just had a look... I would go with the growing up drink as it's lower in sugar and has other benefits too 😃

That's fab! Dealing with a CMPI is all very new to me.

Alpro growing up is the milk that was recommended for our DD who has CMPA. There's an amazingly useful support group on Facebook (main group - CMPA support) which also has lots of info re weaning etc.

Approach is fine in cooking. I’ve got CMPA and all Soya milks make me feel like I’ve got a case of the ‘flu but if your LO is ok with them, then they’re fine to use.

I use almond milk in cooking.
