Best cream for eczema?

Hi, I've suffered since I was born with eczema, it's the kind where my skin is as dry as sandpaper and so flaky, not the itchy rash kind. It's from my waist and above, so every morning and night I have to moisturise everywhere.
I've tried:
Diprobase, neutrogena, body shop hemp body butter, lush 'moisturising' bath bombs, aveeno, E45, and vaseline body cream, off the top of my head.

I've been using epaderm for the past few years, however I just feel it's not really as efficient.
I know the obvious answer is to see the doctor, but I have been quite a few times and they don't know what to give me anymore. I had asked to see a dermatologist (suggestion of others) but was told that doctors are pretty much dermatologists themselves.
I can see their reasoning for not referring me though, as my eczema isn't very noticeable apart from redness, it's just annoying more than anything!
So, does anyone have suggestions of brilliant moisturisers? I can't use anything perfumed! Lastly, I've also tried changing my diet and taking supplements but that made no difference either.

Thank you for any responses! Smile

I’m so sorry, eczema is a bugger. I’m going through this with DD and the Childs Farm Moisturiser (with a duck on it) seems to be a good option/widely recommended.

Hi, thank you for your reply, I agree eczema is the worst. I looked up your product but unfortunately it contains parfum so I won't be able to use it Sad but thank you anyway!

I forgot to add, I've also tried coconut oil and goats milk soaps/various 'natural' soaps.
I'm looking for something extremely moisturising, and I know it's minor but epaderm doesn't have a nice smell so I'd love something that did smell nice, although I'm unsure if I can get that if I can't use parfum!

There’s 2 which work for me: lush dream cream in the self preserving formula (the other one really doesn’t work for me) and O’Keefes do a body moisturiser which somehow stops the itchy feeling- it’s brilliant and all O’Keefes products carry a full money back guarantee so it’s worth a try.

Dermol 500 can be used as a cream and a soap substitute, so we use it for baths and hand washing when DD is having a flare up or just before bed as a cream most nights.

I had eczema when I was younger and used Lush Fresh Farmacy. It's not marketed for eczema but I used it for a couple of months and haven't had it since!

Child's farm moisturiser is the best thing for my son who has severe eczema! Even the stuff from the doctors does not work as well as child's farm x

I'd suggest lookiing at this : nationaleczema.org/eczema/treatment/moisturizing/

particularly the section on the different types of moisturises. The most effective treatments are ointments as they have a higher oil content. I think diprobase is the only ointment from your list. Diprobase is what I use and it works for me. Alternatives are Zerobase and Doublebase. Doublebase is slightly more expensive and smells nicer and potentially more effective. I've not used Zerobase.

Moo Goo. DH has had eczema since childhood, and tried many many creams over the years. He's been using Moo Goo products for a couple of years, and it's the stuff that finally stopped him getting bad, weeping skin and needing to see the GP. He uses their cleanser plus different creams including the scalp cream.
