Ds has been suffering various reactions these past few days nothing new has been introduced but his allergic reactions seem to be worse when its warm.

Today at about 1 he was covered in hives and puffy eyes which went with piriton then again before bed. He was like this at the weekend too.

Also the heat can sometmes make you like this if you are prone to allergies. This may not be the case & it may well just be pollen or something in the air. My ds2 is allergic to many things, heat 1 of them. Last year his face swelled and urticaria rash(nettle/hive rash) came up on his face, which lasted a week due to the heat. Despite giving antihistamine it didnt get rid of it completely for a week but avoided it getting any worse. Had he maybe touched a plant in the garden? May be it would be a good idea to mention this to your doctor, as the next reaction maybe worse. good luck.

Apparently the weather pattern we've been having has released lots of pollen etc earlier than usual. For hayfever sufferers the outlook ain't good I'm afraid.

unfortunately, this time of year, till the end of summer, is the worst time for all of us. Poor dd's asthma is set off by hayfever (as is her eczema), dh is set off by tree pollen, I'm grass and thank goodness, ds only has eczema (all year round) to contend with so his doesn't tend to get worse at this point.

I'm glad you've reminded me actually because I'll start snorting the steroid sprays (and give dd some more becotide!).

Ali - I was bad this weekend and I think it's because a lot of people mowed their lawns. Keep an eye on him around grass and see if it might be triggering him off.

We have all been worse too and dd1 only got signed off from the hospital 2 weeks ago and now I've gone back to the double dose +PRN again

Today my sneezing has suddenly gone beserk so have upped my dosage of antihistamines, the joys of allergy suffers. Hope your ds is ok

Gave piriton and steriods before bed to try and keep it under control.

At least were not alone.
