Dairy free junk food

What M&S, Tesco, Waitrose, Budgens etc fare is dairy-free and good for a kiddies party? Also stuff that's "accidentally" dairy free? I heard Oreo's are d/f? What about plain pringles? Is it true Pink Panther wafers are dairy free? I need soya free too, just to be clear. So dairy free and soya free! Any shops I live in the Midlands so can get to any shops including the main Asda, Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, costco etc. What about ice cream? Ideas please! (Yes, I know it's all junk food - IT'S A PARTY!) Grin

Tesco's own brand skips are dairy & soya free.

Bourbon biscuits are usually DF & SF.

Oreo's have soy in, as do pink wafers.

Pringles are fine.

M&S's do iced-buns that are DF & SF.

Ice-cream wise - booja-booja ice-cream from waitrose is lovely but expensive. Otherwise, Fruit Pastille lollies are fine and some sorbets.

Asda do some frozen sausage rolls that are fine too, as are some of their cocktail sausages.

Thanks so much! That's a good start!

Try this website.

At the moment it's only got the products from tesco, but you can filter products by allergies so by selecting milk and soya all products that have milk and soya are removed from the list. It's not perfect, but can be a good start.

Double check the M&S stuff. A lot says on the pack that it's not suitable for milk allergy. And we've had reactions....

Red hula hoops are DF/SF.

Bourbons are mostly ok, there's a chocolate coconut icecream in larger Sainsbury's and co-ops that's yummy too. Some Lidl dark chocolate is soya and dairy free as are the 70% plus chocolates from Sainsbury's (but have to check labels in case they have changed like gits they are). Melted chocolate and icing sugar with a small amount of water makes an acceptable icing for cake/biscuits.

Soya is the nightmare for biscuits as it wipes out so many of the cheaper ones that are accidentally dairy free! Sainsbury's Nice biscuits are ok as are most ginger snaps.

Baking yourself with dairy free spread works too for cakes/cupcakes.

Soya free bread is a pain but Aldi's malted/seeded sliced loaves were ok when we needed them to be. Most pittas (not Aldi always) and wraps are ok as well.

Crisps wise, some of the Aldi fake pringles are ok as are their multi packs.

swedish glace is a great dairy-free ice cream - they do good small magnum style choice ices too.

if you're catering for allergies then both Oreo's and pink panthers are are no go as they both may contain milk. Tesco bourbons are good as are ginger nuts.

lots of crisps are fine, just read the ingredients! Hula hoops are not ok as they may contain milk, but Tesco do own brand in big bag which are dairy-free. Pom bears original are also dairy-free. you are right that original pringles are fine.

most cocktail sausages are fine - we've bought them from tesco, sainsburys and waitrose. Most chocolate is not ok even if it's dark chocolate, if you want to buy some then look for brands like kinnerton, moo free, own brand free-from ranges

Swedish Glace is Soya based I think - soya is definitely the hardest to avoid in party food

sorry, missed the soya free bit
