I made buckwheat pancakes the other day, with a packet mix from Orgran. It required eggs, but there was an alternative egg-free recipe on the packet. I substituted rice milk for the milk. They tasted a bit 'healthy' IYKWIM, but were quite nice.

Smilies from McCain (frozen potato shapes) are milk free, not sure about egg. Can check the packet if anyone is interested. Nice treat for when we're having that type of thing.

Hi,
My DD is also dairy and egg allergic, shes now 5. But I used to make a lot of different dishes for her when she was a toddler. Most were taken from Annabel Karmel's recipe book and adjusted to leave out egg/milk.

She used to love, chicken cous cous (Basically cous cous cooked with chicken stock instead of water. Then in another frying pan, fry up tiny chopped up veg - carrot / onion / mushroom / parsnip and bits of chicken. Then mix together. I must admit I used to love this too ! One pack of cous cous would make enough for 2 meals for her and one for me

Also I used to do mini pizza, made with pita bread as the base, then topped with home made tomato based pasta sauce (I think this was called someting like hide the veg pasta sauce - lots of veg with tins of toms and stock - then pulse/blend) and soy cheese.

Also lamb or chicken sausages. These are dead easy and I still make them today - they are called 'Mama sausages in our house'.

Start with half pound of minced lamb or chicken (cubes, then pulse in food processor). Also add 3 slices of brown sliced bread - pulse to turn into breadcrumbs, then mushrooms / onions / grated carrot (or parnsip - good combo with lamb). Then a grated apple (or stewed apple if you have it). Thats it. Blitz until combined. Then shape into sausages, roll in flour and fry in olive oil. This makes about 20 sausages so I freeze them. My DD eats about 3 at a meal - easy to reheat in Microwave. (the apple is the key ingredient to make them tasty)

The home made pasta sauce w/ hidden veggies is great to have on hand.

Also we now do a lot of grilled / fried fish. if fresh fish, just roll in flour and then fry to get a crusty top.

I keep it simple now, a meat or fish (grilled / fried / BBQ), + starch (potatoes or pasta or couscous) + boiled/steamed veg.

My DD also loved Smoked Salmon and prosciutto as a toddler (expensive habit!) and now we often get smoked trout or smoked mackeral as main dish which she loves.

Gammon steaks are another favorite.

I also have a 2 year old who has no allergies but doesn't like meat or fish. I am finding this harder right now to dream up things to feed him !
