Osteopathy or Homeopathy for DD's eczema?

This is also posted on the health page:
DD is 17 weeks, today took her to the Osteopath because she was big at birth and head had been engaged for some time so wanted to get her checked. They said that she has tightness in her head and did some hands on her head stuff(!) to release it. Anyway, my point is that she has pretty bad eczema all over her body and the Osteopath recommended a couple of sessions to ease the discomfort of the eczema. My question is, what can they do for her? Are we being duped? I can't really understand what holding her head can do for it. I considered seeing a homeopath but don't know what to do now as can't really afford to do both. Neither DH or I have any allergies and she is breastfed so she is pretty low risk yet is completely covered in it. We've been going down the conventional medicine route but I'd prefer if possible to manage it in a more holistic way. Has anyone got any experience of Osteopathy / Homeopathy and eczema?

Many thanks for that mildmannered. I am also a bit sceptical about the osteopathy, can't really understand how it works. I suppose it depends on the cause of the eczema and we can't decide what that might be. Will look into the homeopathy I think. Thanks again

Sounds like cranial osteopathy that was administered. Here gives a good explanation cranial osteopathy .Ive had cranial work and reacted very extremely, it all depends on a persons nervous system. I have been told it can work wonders, as excema is related to stress in the body, so deal with the stress and hopefully this calms the bodys hemaglobin reaction. I also use homeopathy for excema in both myself and dd1 and its been very effective.

I meant histamine reaction not hemaglobin. have no idea were that came from !

Thanks Melsy, CO is a bit beyond my level of comprehension to be honest but I do think stress has a part to play in her eczema because the week we tried to get rid of her dummy it got worse. The osteopath said she was quite sensative so it will be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of treatments.
