SPOTTY RASH WITH BLISTERS!

Hi, my DS 15 months, developed a red spotty rash yesterday - no other symptoms, today parts of the rash on his feet and hands have turned into small blisters - could this be an allergy? The only thing he has had that has been new in his diet was a strawberry yesterday for his breakfast! Any ideas?

Thanks everyone, DS doesn't have a fever at the moment does anybody know if that happens as it develops or are they hit with it straight away? I know DS is teething at the moment and at first I thought it was down to that - will try to get him checked out at the docs tomorrow. Will try to be aware of any other symptoms. Typical we are supposed to be going to see CBEEBIES LIVE on the 31st - looks like that will be out of the window!!!

Hi my 2yr old has chicken pox the first spot that appeared a few days ago is really sore, big and weepy any ideas what to do? Its behind her ear also she has a few pea size lumps on her neck that seem to bother her any ideas? Thanks

Hi, I have just recovered from chickenpox (age 33 - not the best age to get it!) and now my ds and dd have it too. zachalexruby, I also had small lumps at the back of my neck on the hairline which I believe are lymph nodes which have blocked up because of the chickenpox so I wouldn't worry too much although they were sore but I am sure some calpol would do the trick. The only thing that helped me with the sore weepy ones was to leave them well alone. I still have a few scabs which are really sore and they are the ones that were scratched. My neice has also just recovered from hand, foot and mouth and seems fine now so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hope it helps. I am using piriton and bicarb of soda for kids although they hate the peppermint taste of the piriton. Good luck.
