Cleaning neocate bottles

DD has been breastfed so far, but despite me cutting all sorts out of my diet she is still reacting to my milk. We are moving her on to neocate which really seems to be helping. The only real issue is getting the bastard bottles clean. The milk seems very greasy, I've tired putting them through the dishwasher, various brands of washing up liquid, soaking them, boiling water and recently adding bicarbonate of soda and soaking them in that. The bicarb seems to help a little, but I still have to scrub each bottle 3 or 4 times to try and get them clean. It's so time consuming, and it's driving me mad. Am I missing something obvious? How does everyone else get them clean!?

the only way i find i can get the greasy little spots off is to squirt washing up liquid directly onto the bottle brush. I find that really helps. doesnt matter which brand either

I guess I should invest in shares in Fairy then!

Fairy platinum and a pan scourer wrapped round the bottle brush! Also soak before washing in v hot water Smile

Fairy straight into the bottle and use a good bottle brush. Some are not as good as others, I have a tommee tipped one from when I had dd1 which is much better than one I got from the supermarket, it has more bristles which are more flexible than the other one so I can get in all the nooks and crannies.
I also find the longer you leave it to wash them the harder it is to get off, so at the very least rinse out then stick some fairy and hot water in, cap it and shake and leave it to soak if you haven't got time.
