I am having a lot of allergy probs atm , could they be linked to central heating/having the fire on?Skin gets worse in the heat but the sneezing/eyes seem to be too.
I take a 1 a day cetrizine tablet but can I use another anti histamine as well or would I be better taking a different one that I take every few hours as Itake it in the am and by teatime the probs have started again.

well it depends, what are you allergic to? I know that in winter we have to pay more attention to dusting, vacuuming, etc for the only reason that we spend more time inside. Could you change your environment a bit to help you not to take extra medicines?

Dust mites is one, mainly animals(none at home) and grass pollen. But these seem to make my asthma worse and sometimes hives but have started with patches of eczema(sp?) and more hives.I am sneezing a lot as well, can't decided what is connected!
Dd1 has allergies(still no idea what) and her eyes swell , they have got worse as well.

Have you changed your washing liquid, or any other product that has contact with your skin?
Any new foods or something you are eating more than usual lately?

As for the dustmites... well apart from washing the bed sheets every week at 60 degrees, doing the dusting and vacuuming religiously don't know what else to do... well there's Fabreeze for allergies with helps.

Are you by any chance in a new environment? we have a friend who had a bad asthma attack the first time he visited, that's how we learned the previous owner had a cat.

nothing new although we were away last week so it could be 'hangover' from that?
Dd1s started againa couple of weeks ago but she is at the hosp again in 2 weeks so hopefully can make some progress

It may be, we have noticed a variation on DS's asthma when we have holidays (for better or worse), and it takes a few weeks at home for the things to go back to normal.

thanks
