Anyone any experience of salicylate sensitivity and diet?

DC has been diagnosed with salicylate sensitivity and according to the fact sheet the allergy clinic gave us this covers almost all fruit and vegetables. So to avoid the sore tummy, eczema flareups and epic meltdowns, DC can only eat meat and potatoes, washed down with water. I am now worried DC will get scurvy Sad.

I know we need to figure out how much salicylates can be consumed before it triggers a reaction but all the information I can find seems Australian based (Sue Dengate's Failsafe diet). Does anyone have any UK based tips or pointers?

I had a friend who was salicylate sensitive.
iirc, peas, iceburg lettuce, cabbage, bananas, pears were all OK.
Potatoes actually contain decent amounts of vit C.
Bread and dairy was also OK, so sandwiches etc.
But if you can find a suitable vit tablet, it is probably worth taking one.

The benefits for her were worth the hassle with food - eating out was "interesting"
