Hi, im new here,, and Im a dad. I am the family cook and we have to avoid all sugars / fruit / honey etc due to severe allergic reaction. Does anyone have any suggestions for creating bakes and spreads? granulated sweetener is ok.
Thanks.

Well, you can use sweetener in place of sugar in cakes, pastries etc. You can even use it in place of sugar in jam if you use enough pectin but I don't know how.
Have you tried agave syrup? That is more natural, not sure if it would trigger, tho

That sounds tough .
If I were you I think I'd forget the idea of 'sweet treats'. Pancakes and savoury scones /muffins may provide the tasty but safe treat option.
Cocoa nibs would be really useful for a chocolate sensation- they come whole, chopped and powdered.
For spreads I'd use nut butters- meridian are just pure nuts. Guacamole would be good if avaacado is allowed .
Beetroot is a great sweet bake addition- I'm guessing that might have too much sugar too?
Sorry for dull ideas- I wanted to respond as I felt for you!
(I'd avoid sweetener - that stuff has a bad reputation )

What about sweet vegetables (I know they still have sugar so might not be suitable). Squash / sweet potatoes / carrots?

I was looking for an almond butter and coconut oil fudge recipe that didn't have added syrup but I think you could try without.

Almond butter and vanilla are nice to add to things to sweeten. You could try cashew nut ice cream with almond butter and lots of powdered vanilla.
