Grown out of milk allergy?

My DD has/had a CMP allergy. She used to not be able to tolerate any traces of milk in any form (she would go very listless and then be violently sick).

She is now definitely growing out of it and she now has butter, cheese on pizza, chocolate etc. This morning she ate a mini-milk with no reaction.

Do you think that this means she has grown out of it? Should we try with raw milk?

What did you do when your LOs grew out of allergies?

We waited until it had been over a year since DS's last reaction (swelling/hives/eczema), then did a milk challenge. Antihistamines at the ready, a few drops of milk, 20 minute wait, half a teaspoon of milk, 20 minutes, a full teaspoon...
You get the picture. It took all morning, but by lunchtime he drank a glass of milk, confirming that he's outgrown his allergy.
He was 12 years old though...

Thanks InMySpareTime - great that your DS has grown out of it! Think we will wait a bit longer before trying a milk challenge.

I would get medical advice before trying a food challenge, esp with IgE allergies.
There are stages of growing out, being able to have baked milk in small amounts. or following the 'milk ladder ' process.

So far my daughters teen onset milk allergy has been mild on its own, but with a high exposure to dust mite produced more moderate longer lasting symptoms. So we are cautious with milk exposure.

our son has many allergies, but not milk and all of his food challenges have been in a hospital setting.

Watching with interest, we're in the same situation.
