Hi
DS has fairly mild excema but recently has had 2 what I perceive to be allergic reactions, trouble is that we are not sure exactly what to...
one was where raised welts suddenly came up on his face and arm, they went down within an hour or so and he didn't seem to be in any discomfort. Initially we just thought he had scratched himself until we realised they were randomly appearing in different places. The HV asked if he'd eaten strawberries when I told her - he had... but he's eaten them before, and since without this happening.
The other was today, within moments of finishing eating lunch containing peanut butter he was itching his tummy non stop and bought up a rash (perhaps in reaction to itching so much) but his excema on wrists and hands had gone more bumpy and angry looking. Again within an hour he's back to his normal self and it's gone down. Thing is....he had peanuts yesterday and this didn't happen. He also eats the Nak'D bars which have nuts in them...no problem.
Would like to find out what his allergens are... how do I go about it? It seems so mild I feel the dr might laugh at me?
Thanks!
