Nut and egg free treats - possible with shop bought goodies?

We are having a crowd of children over at the weekend and one I have just discovered has allergies to eggs and nuts.

As with a gang of ten year olds, cakes and sweeties was part of The Plan (according to DS).

Are there any reliable brands that make sweets/cakes/treats that I could buy with confidence? Ones that I can get easily (so from the main supermarkets or healthfood stores)?

Yes it is possible. Larger supermarkets often have a " free from" shelf. You still need to read ingredients list as some items will be gluten free but contain nuts etc.
DS has friends who are dairy, egg and gluten free and the Sainsburys free from shelf has served well.
Plain choc lollies. Freeze pops, gf df short bread. Are the staples I buy.

Jammy Dodgers, tesco bourbon creams, kinnerton chocolate, Haribos, callipo ice lollies to name a few. Egg free cake is hard to come by but if you have time, then this is a very good recipe for chocolate cake that's egg and dairy free - one bowl recipe so simple and quick. Sainsburys have a good free from section but I found a lot of the baked goods do still contain egg.
